PE TEACHER

Description

Deliver PE instruction from pre-k to grade 10 and contribution to the wider community.

Requirements

PE instruction, planning, and assessing.

Collaboration is critical for this position and comfort working with all grade levels is needed.


Responsibilities:

Play an active role on a collaborative primary years and middle years team

  1. Curriculum planning - inquiry based Units of Inquiry

  2. Integrate meaningful, age appropriate technology into teaching and learning

  3. Communicate and collaborate with parents, students and administration to support student learning

  4. Be an active and positive participant in school life including co-curricular activities

  5. Be an active participant in recruitment events

Qualifications:

  1. Ideally over 3 years of teaching experience with a (minimum) Bachelors in Education.

  2. Experience in IB and IB training would be preferred but not required.

  3. All of the requirements and certifications to teach in BC or ability to obtain by the

start date.

4. An ability to connect with and inspire students.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Legally entitled to work in Canada.
