Truth and Reconciliation
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Anona Kampe, a sqilxʷ (Indigenous) woman representing the syilxʷ Okanagan Nation, for her exceptional leadership during our Orange Shirt Day assembly.
Anona graced us with her native language, guided us in a traditional Okanagan anthem, and shared the captivating story behind the naming of Giants Head Mountain.
Through her presentation, she underscored the values of the power of the mind, humility, and the strength of teamwork, leaving a lasting impact on all in attendance.
Swim Program
With the surrounding lakes, Unisus has made water safety a priority for our students. Starting next week, Unisus students will be partaking in swim lessons at the Summerland Aquatic Center through the Lifesaving Society's Swim for Life program.
Lessons will be offered weekly starting Oct 3rd until Dec 8th from 1:00-2:00pm.
Students should come to school with a bathing suit, towel, goggles and cap (optional). The program kicks off with Grades 8, 9, and 10 on Tuesday. Please take note of the days that your child will be participating in the swim program.
- Tuesdays Grades 8, 9, 10
- Wednesdays Grades 4, 5, 6, 7
- Fridays Grades K, 1, 2, 3
Senior School Volleyball Game
We had our very first Senior School Volleyball game!
Junior School Upcoming Field Trip
The Junior School will be going on an exciting field trip to the Westbank Museum on October 3rd.
