Launch of our UNISUS Scholar-Athlete Programs

Launch of our UNISUS Scholar-Athlete Programs
Silke Otremba

We are excited to announce the launch of our two Scholar-Athlete programs at UNISUS this fall, both our Hockey Academy and Snowsports Academy.

The UNISUS Scholar-Athlete program combines a world-class International Baccalaureate education with a holistic, focused approach to sports.  The program is designed for students who aspire to reach high-performance or advanced levels in their athletic pursuits and successful academic achievements.

Both the Hockey and Snowsports Academies will have on-ice/on-snow as well as drylands training components to develop the holistic athlete through training modules in strength and conditioning, flexibility, multi-sport, as well as brand development and nutrition.

The academies will begin the drylands training the week of September 18th during the CASE program times.  The Hockey Academy on-ice program will begin week of September 11th.

For the Snowsports Academy, we will have a launch event on September 15th at 3pm where both parents and students can attend, including those interested in more information.  Kristi Richards and Jessie Broster from KR Academy will be joining us that day.

If you are not yet signed up to an academy but would like more information or are planning to attend our Snowsports Launch event on September 15th, please email snowsports@unisus.ca or hockey@unisus.ca for the respective academy.

We look forward to see this exciting program grow over the coming years.
