The Okanagan Valley, located in British Columbia, Canada, allows students to experience the best of what Canada has to offer during all four seasons. From sports and outdoor activities to community events and volunteering opportunities. That is all possible due to the characteristics of the local community and population in the region.

In order to provide the best environment for students to thrive academically, our class sizes are kept within what we consider an appropriate student/teacher ratio to allow for an individualized learning approach. Our average class size ratio is approximately 10 students/teacher. This allows our teachers to differentiate the instruction to each individual learning style, which makes the learning more meaningful.

UNISUS offers a Hockey Academy and a Snowsports Academy (Alpine and Freestyle skiing) for Scholar-Athletes. What makes the UNISUS Scholar-Athlete program truly unique, is that the coaches in both academies work alongside the teachers to make sure that the academics are maintained through professional athletic training. 

UNISUS also has partnerships with a soccer club, a volleyball academy and a basketball academy to provide a multi-sport experience.

UNISUS students have the opportunity to graduate with an enriched BC High School Diploma (Dogwood) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB DP) or even both. We empower all of our students to pursue their goals, and we assist them in finding what is the best path to fulfill their objectives with our University planning and guidance course.

UNISUS students from Grades 7 - 10 have an amazing opportunity to choose specific subjects that they are passionate about to dive deeper into; three times a week for three hours. The Enrichment classes are “non-credited elective” courses that allow students to improve their skills in their desired field with the goal of becoming market-ready as soon as they graduate.

We provide local airport pick up and drop off for new and returning students as well as medical insurance, assistance to open bank accounts, cell phone line set-up, and more, with the goal of making the adaptation to a full time student of UNISUS as smooth as possible for students and their families.

The Okanagan Valley is a short 45-minute flight from Vancouver where the international airport is located. You can also take a car there- it is a 4h scenic drive through the mountains.

The region also has its' own airport in Kelowna BC, which is a 1 hour drive from the school, and a local airport 20 minutes away from the school in Penticton, BC.

Nestled in one of the most beautiful and desirable locations to live in the country, the Okanagan Valley blends the safe, friendly, and community lifestyle in Summerland. With local beaches, mountains and lakes right in town, as well as being located in a region with some of the nicest weather in Canada and a downtown core with friendly locals, this is a community that is a must-see.
